We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our legal team in Paris (Opéra) as a full-time Legal Ops.

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer and in close relationship with our Sales, Data, Infrastructure and Finance teams, she/he is in charge of managing legal matters on topics including:

  • Contracts with our customers and suppliers.
  • Managing documentation and e-signatures for the group.
  • Advising on other legal matters including compliance (GDPR) and Intellectual Property for third party software and datasets (Data Sources Registry process).

Responsibilities:

  • Sales: analysing calls for tenders, advising legal negotiations, preparing contractual documents and supporting the teams.
  • Suppliers: assisting the Development, Data and Infrastructure teams in revising and negotiating contracts with suppliers, and managing the DSR process.
  • Internal matters like Codes of Business Conduct and Legal Trainings.
  • Managing documentation workflows, approvals, e-signatures and filing.
  • Advising the teams on other legal matters including compliance matters (like DDQs and GDPR) and Intellectual Property for third-party software and datasets.
  • Collaborate with outside counsels as necessary.
  • More generally, Kayrros being a scale-up company, we expect the Legal Officer to be flexible and to jump in and help other teams on other topics as the need may arise from time to time.

Job requirements

Who we are ideally looking for:

  • Master's degree in Private / Contract Law.
  • At least 5 years' experience as a commercial in-house counsel, with experience in SaaS / DaaS startups strongly appreciated.
  • Background in drafting and negotiating data agreements, sales contracts, licences, alliance agreements, and intellectual property agreements with DSR process knowledge.
  • Experience with government contracting is a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in French and English.
  • GDPR knowledge is a plus.
  • Ability to work in a team and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate ability to be organised and know how to prioritise and multitask while being able to report to the C-suite efficiently.
  • Strong affinity with new technologies.

Recruitment process:

  • A first HR phone interview (30 minutes).
  • An interview with the CFO, in person (1h).
  • 2 more interviews with the team (30mn-1h each).
